I see Jesus in my dreams

Nasreen (female, 43) feels nervous about sharing with us what is deep inside her. She grew up in Syria in a Sunni Muslim family and dreamt about Jesus during her student days. She went to church with a Christian friend, hoping to find peace there, but it did not happen.

In her dreams, she repeatedly stands before a bishop and feels very uncomfortable. Suddenly a great light shines behind her and, as the light hits her shoulder, she is overwhelmed by an indescribable feeling of peace and protection. Nothing is said and she does not see Jesus; she only sees His light.

For years she has had the same experience: a bright light and a hand touching her shoulder. When she finally plucks up the courage to tell one of our follow-up workers about this, the latter explains to her that Jesus is described in the Bible as the Light of the world. The moment she reads these words, Nasreen's whole body begins to tingle and a deep longing awakens within her. She wants to go to church and meet others who also know Jesus. During online conversations, she hears more about Jesus as a source of comfort and encouragement for the first time.

Our colleague asks Nasreen if she really wants Jesus to come and live in her, and she answers with a loud and clear ‘Yes!’

Will you pray with us for Nasreen and for our follow-up worker as they continue their conversations?
