Organisational structure

Arab Vision has its headquarters in the Netherlands and has support offices with their respective boards in the USA, where it is recognized as a 501(c)3 organization, and in the UK, where it is registered as a charity in England and Wales (no 1154993). Arab Vision in The Netherlands has a charity status as well.

Arab Vision's board consists of 3-5 elected members. Members are from different denominations and we aim for a good gender balance. The terms of membership of the Dutch board are two terms of four years. The Dutch board meets three to four times a year.

The international director is an ex-officio member of the board and the supporting foundations (currently in the US and UK) all have a seat on the board, with full voting rights.

Arab Vision's international office is virtual; most staff members are local employees in the Arab world. The international office, production house, social media and follow-up department, and supporting organisations are linked both spiritually and contractually. The board in the Netherlands is leading in safeguarding the ministry's vision and mission.

Remuneration policy

Arab Vision employs two part-time staff members in the Netherlands*, who receive a salary in line with salaries of church workers in the Protestant Church of the Netherlands. Board members receive no remuneration for exercising their board membership; real and reasonable expenses, such as travel cost, are reimbursed. Volunteers usually receive a modest volunteer allowance in accordance with the rules for volunteer allowances of the Tax Administration.

*Arab Vision's departments in the Middle East employ about 22 people; for security reasons, Arab Vision's ministries in the Arab world have different organisational names.
