With Bishop Thomas, we filmed 30 episodes of 5-7 minutes in the Church of Resurrection. He shares lessons on the heart of the Christian faith and encourages and challenges people to follow Jesus in their daily lives. This series also aims to build bridges between different faith communities and introduce Arab viewers to the rich history of tradition and church in the Middle East. The message of love, faith and hope found in Jesus Christ is central and we challenge seekers to think more deeply about what really matters in life.
As this project portrays the beautifully painted Resurrection Church in the Anafora retreat centre, the Egyptian Ministry of Tourism is considering including images of it in their promotion of Egypt (just like the cave church in Moqattam).
Update: This series of 50 episodes is currently being edited. Episode 4, about the birth of Christ, is now available with English subtitles on our YouTube channel.
