“I see a theological and cultural gap: freedom misunderstood as liberation from all moral responsibility, rather than what Paul describes in Galatians 5 - a freedom that leads to the fruit of the Spirit, manifested in love, service and renewed relationships.”
Speaking is our Yemeni colleague Sarah. She fled from a violent marriage and from her country because she had become a Christian. Around her, she sees a community of Yemenis who have a thin layer of ‘Christianity’ and underneath, still mainly think and act like Muslims. It concerns her that there is too little education and too little adult leadership among many Yemeni Christians.
Therefore, she discussed the need to make a series of programmes that fit well with the thinking of Yemenis from a Muslim background with our producer. Therefore we decided to make low-key videos, probably as 2D animation films. With the aim of helping our Yemeni brothers and sisters understand Biblical principles for marriage, parenting, family and other relationships and start living from that spiritual freedom in Christ.
The production and broadcast and follow-up of this series of 10 episodes costs €975 per episode. Will you help us produce this series so that we can better equip Yemeni believers?
