Abby, a schoolteacher from Aleppo, got in touch with us after suffering a terrible loss during the war: family members had been killed, her sister had suffered a nervous breakdown, and she herself was struggling with serious health problems. Whilst trapped in her home for days on end with almost no food, she cried out to God, desperately seeking truth and peace. That night, she had a powerful vision in which she was told that Jesus had chosen her. During a second encounter, she saw Jesus, who spoke to her and placed His hand on her neck, exactly where she had been unwell. Three months later, medical examinations confirmed her healing. Overwhelmed by what she had experienced, Abby sought out a church and was baptised. Today, she is keen to grow in her faith. We are guiding her in her spiritual development, providing her with resources on prayer and the Gospel, and continuing to support her as she learns to follow Christ.
